Lauren,
]I hope htings go well with the delivery, I think it will be a good bonding time for you and your hubby if he is there with you. I'm glad counseling is helping. I think everyone needs a good counselor....Prayers for your family.

Re: My name is Lauren and I'm looking for my husband.

Hey all!

So last thursday i called my Dr and canceled my induction for the folloing tuesday (yesterday) because I wanted to give him more time to come on his own. I felt really strongly about going into labor with being induced- I just wanted to experience what it felt like. SO that thursday my Dr said okay, she would let me go another several days. So after I talked to her, i spent the rest of the day walking., I am not joking- I walked and walked and walked- for HOURS!!!

Midnight rolls around and BAM I start contracting. I was really exited! We went to the hospital around 5am.....had the baby at 3:07pm Friday, 9lbs even and 22inches long. He was a big boy- I am gad I didnt have to wait another week! You an imagine that I tore pretty bad, but i wouldnt have it any other way. I really am glad that it went the way it did. I made it to a 6 before I needed an epidural. I have no idea why anyone woud want to have a baby naturally- without medication. But anyway!!!!

We are just now getting into a routine...i'll be happy to see how the next few weeks go!

Hope everyone else is well!!!!

Congratulations and well done. Beautiful baby as the reward. And you are right.... WHY would anyone want to have a baby without an epidural. lol.

Re: My name is Lauren and I'm looking for my husband.

Congratulations !!! Remember to sleep when the baby sleeps - they are not kidding when they advise that. You think that you can get so much done while the baby (in my case - babies) is sleeping that you run around the house trying to get chores done. I learned really quick that those little baby seats can be carried from the kitchen to the laundry room while the babies were awake - lol. It's much easier to get chores done during the day than when the babies are screaming in the middle of the night - lol.

Congrats! I also made it to a six without the epidural. I also tore badly, but after a week, I was okay; of course Kate was only 6lbs 5oz! Do those sitz baths, that make all the difference in the world!

Re: My name is Lauren and I'm looking for my husband.

Well I am glad i had a big boy! He slept 5 hours straight the other night and i got worried and had to wake him up to eat. I could hear his tummy growling but he was passed out! (he didn't sleep much the day before). Last night he slept 6 hours straight! I got plenty of sleep and managed to clean the house today. I attached a picture of him, he looks just like his ultra sound picture. He is so cute!!

Thanks everyone for your warm wishes!! I am very much in love with this baby!! His daddy is too, and he is really great with him. We, on the other hand are okay, still working on things. The counseling has been put on hold but we will be going back as soon as we can.

I hope every has a great weekend!

Beautiful baby! And, look at all that hair! Kate didn't have real hair until she was two. Savor these moments. I remember mine being that little and she's about to start kindergarten. I'm not sure how that happened.

I just have to add... he is so adorable and yes, looks just like he did in the ultrasound. My grandD also. She looked so much like her ultrasound pic, that when I saw her for the first time it wasn't a surprise.

Enjoy him... you're gonna blink and he will be outside riding his trike!
