GrandmaD, I just saw this and realized I was so tired the other night I forgot to reply about it in your "17 years and..." journal thread. I'm going to post a reply right now so I don't inadvertently highjack Junior's thread.

Sorry Grandma. I haven't had it while on Aropax. But if it is not your back then I can only guess that it is an overstimulation of the nervous sytem.

I had it when I was on 20mg of Lexapro. Apparently 10mg of Lexapro is the equivalent of 40mg of Aropax. So 20mg of Lex was a very high dose. For me it felt like I was ... a mobile phone being charged constantly but without the electrical energy ever being released. It wasn't there when I started on Lex. It built up slowly over time.

That's interesting. I guess only time will tell. I will have to wait until I am off Aropax to find out. Good thing you don't have that one to put up with.

Re: Journal of Junior's Journey

I hope it helped. I don't put down every tiny thing in my journal. Just the significant ones. If things are going well, I don't write anything at all. I guess i've also learned, over the years of suffering GAD, to not worry about every tiny symptom. Most of the time it's just the nervous system doing whatever it is doing, whether it is too sensitive, or playing tricks according to its interpretation of the environment - I'm not going to let it worry me. Except for the nights when I really struggle to get a good night's sleep - which has been every night lately

Going to see my naturopath in an hour's time. I feel like my nerves are tight, like muscle tightness, if that makes sense and it's the cause of my sleep difficulty. Hopefully she can come up with something to settle it because we head off for our overseas holiday in a week's time!

Re: Journal of Junior's Journey

Let me know what the naturopath suggests for your muscles and nerves.
It's hard to describe some things, but last night I felt awful at bedtime. It felt like nerves all edge - I put it down to anxiety, and I had the breathlessness also. Also the vibration thing running through body was strong.

I read on a site TTTGW referred one woman said when it goes away it will be like the power goes off - I can just imagine that! That would be exactly what it would be like if I didn't have this constant vibration - peaceful and quiet. I hope it goes away when I get off w/d.

If you don't write much stuff - unless you're crook, do you like writing much to other people? I don't want to annoy you because I know what that can be like.

I'm already on a few supplements.
SF88 - a kind of multivitamin
LM11
Inkephalin - these are both to help nurture the nervous system
Dan Shen - for blood pressure as mine has been up a little since I've been w/ding; it has valerian in it

We've dropped the Pre-Dop which was useful in the past but seems to have served its purpose. It helped with my sleep when I needed to produce more dopamine. It's not helping now.

She's added two more things:
Anxioton -it has kava, passionflower, magnesium, lemon balm and other things - this is the one she is hoping will calm my nervous system and help me to sleep better
Astress-X compound - it looks like another multivitamin; i see it has lithium bicarb in it

As for the nervous system feeling edgy - it's common in w/d. The nervous system is more sensitive than ever before and many many people complain of anxiety - in all its different manifestations.
You can certainly try valerian. It's very calming and you can buy it almost anywhere, even in the supermarket!

I love chatting. I just can't always be bothered discussing the intricacies of withdrawal. It gets repetitive.

We should probably move our general chats to the lounge though so we can keep our journals for - well - journalling!

Is that because you have been on pp site for some time? I'll probably be like that after a while, too.

Re: Journal of Junior's Journey

Junior, Sorry but I cannot find the lounge room! I looked on the first page where it starts with journals and ends with spirit and I can't see it, or else I am going blind now

Pokie started it. It was originally a thread about a date she had but it became a chatting thread. I started another thread called the Bar and Bistro. The two were eventually merged.

You can have anything you want. We've had pole dancers, people sleeping under the glass topped table, even ducks.....

Re: Journal of Junior's Journey

It's working! All these calming supplements are working. The last 2 nights I've slept better. Last night I woke just once, at @1.30am then again at 5.30am but that is normal. That's when hubby gets up for work and I often wake when I hear him.

I've also noticed that if I do too much cognitive activity (thinking - like working out money, doing paperwork, etc) I have more trouble sleeping. Guess I won't be worrying too much about that while we're away! LOL!!!

Re: Journal of Junior's Journey

So glad to hear the naturopath has been able to help. What a privilege it is to be able to go to bed and sleep and night! Such a simple thing, but many take for granted.

I looked for the valerian, expecting it to be a tea. Hubby found it at Woolies in tablet form, is that right?

Re: Journal of Junior's Journey

Yes that's it. Tablets. Sorry, should have made that clear. I take Valerian Forte which is stronger... but see how you respond to the lower dose first.

Still woke about 3 times last night but had no trouble getting back to sleep. I don't mind that. I just hope I can sleep tonight on the first leg of the flight
